Here is the video of our recent missions trip to Nicaragua. God has been blessing the work there and we are continuing to see people come to Christ, and lives changed. So far we have seen many take on the challenge to support the ministry on a monthly basis. We are also in the process of raising $7,000 for the foundation of a new Hope Center in the town of San Lorenzo. Also, you can purchase a cow for the herd that supports the work in Teco for just $300. Click on the Online Giving Button on the left to give.

Getting ready for Nicaragua, I have thought about how we as a church can have a greater impact. I think it's fitting that we are going through a message series on "TEAMWORK" as we get ready for this missions trip. So many times we fail to realize that we are on this team, working as a body...striving to proclaim the name of Jesus. Each one us has been given talents, strengths, and abilities....yes even YOU! Most people would assume that only the ones physically going are playing a role on this trip to Nicaragua. I beg to differ, this just makes up one part of this team. I am so grateful for those that gave, those that continue to pray...we are all playing a part. So as Pastor Joel continues to guide us through this series on "TEAMWORK", I encourage us all to find a position and engage for something truly incredible!

Gabe Dunlap

Gabe and his wife Amy met while attending Liberty University and came to Cornerstone after spending 8 years on the road with the Christian Music Group Brother's Keeper. Their songs "Rain On" and "Heart of the Matter" are familiar to listeners of Z88.3 FM in the Orlando area. They have two boys (Ethan 6) and (Evan 9 months). In 2007 Gabe helped launched Camp Electric - A Worship and Rock & Roll Music Camp in Nashville TN.

Joel and his wife Amy both graduated in 1995, from Clearwater Christian College, in Clearwater FL. He served as youth pastor at the Park Street Baptist church in St. Petersburg Fl from 1994 to 1999 when God called him to Four Corners to plant Cornerstone. They have two children, Abigail (11), and Andrew (7). Joel is presently pursuing a Masters Degree in church planting from Liberty University in Lynchburg VA.

All of our worship services here at Cornerstone include the same practical message from God’s Word, but with different expressions of worship in order to help each segment of our community connect with God in the greatest way possible.

Saturdays

Evening Worship 6:30 p.m.

This service is both casual and contemporary come as you are. It is a favorite of our young adults and with those who have to work on Sundays. Join us this Saturday night; enjoy good friends, good food, and a great time of worship. Child care is provided for infants, and kidZone is open for children up to 5th grade.

Sundays

Contemporary Worship 10:30 a.m.

The Contemporary Worship Service seeks to meet families where they are and lead them into a life of worship. You will sing along with some of today’s most popular songs of praise. Child care is provided for infants, and kidZone is open for children up to 5th grade.

Wednesdays

Break-Out Groups 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday nights provide a time for the church family to sharpen themselves spiritually. Meeting at 7 p.m. Different ministry teams break out in order to practice and prepare for upcoming ministry opportunities. There are also separate groups that meet for prayer, Bible Study, Children’s Ministry and Youth Group.

We don’t believe that God ever intended for us to do church in rows. It is our prayer that every person who attends our church will be actively involved in a Small Group. Small Groups meet at various times throughout the week and study various topics dealing with applying the Truth of God’s Word to every day life!

Cornerstone is built on the premise that church should be

about Building Life Together based on the Cornerstone, Jesus Christ.

Every aspect of our ministry is specifically designed to help build your life into a house in which God fully indwells.

The Foyer

The entry point for most people is the 10:30 Contemporary Service. We are also offering a Saturday night service at 6:30pm. As a guest of Cornerstone,

we have designed our worship services to be inviting and friendly. All we ask of our guests is that they fill out a guest card and place it in the offering at the close of the service.

The Living Room

The second room we invite you to enter is one of our frequent

Small Group activities. Connecting with other people in our stage of life, making friends, Building Life Together.

The Dining Room

The third room we invite you to attend is our weekly Small Group Bible Studies. At various times, on Sunday and throughout the week, we gather and apply the Bible to our daily lives, while enjoying hot coffee, juices, and refreshments.

The Kitchen

All great parties end up in the kitchen. The fourth room we invite you to is ministry. As you attend Cornerstone, you will have many opportunities to get involved in various ministries to both the community and the church.

KidZone begins on Sunday Morning at 9:30 and continues with children’s church for preschoolers and Junior church for older kids up to 5th grade.

There are also monthly KidZone activities scheduled each month providing a great time of interaction for all kids.

Providing a safe and secure area that your kids can have fun in, is of the utmost importance to our staff and volunteers.

What does Cornerstone Believe?

Simply stated, we believe that man is a sinner

and separated from God by that sin. That God

sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross taking

our punishment, and giving salvation and grace

to all who would place their trust in His

substitution. That the Bible is God’s Word

and that it is without error, literal, and our only

guide for what we believe, say, and do.

When was the church started?

Cornerstone held its grand opening on

Easter Sunday March 30, 2002.

Why does Cornerstone meet in a school?

With the rapid growth of the area, as well as the church,

it is best to meet in a temporary facility until land can be

purchased and a building erected.

Is the church affiliated with any denomination?

No, Cornerstone is independent, self supporting, and self

governing.

How does one become a member?

To be a member one must know Christ as personal Savior,

be baptized and have attended our church membership class.

Do you have to be a member to attend?

No, anyone is welcome to attend any and all of our services.

How should one dress?

People choose to worship in casual attire, as well as their Sunday best and everything in between.

Salvation
The Lord makes His plan of Salvation clear...
You need to be saved. "For all have sinned
and come short of the glory of God." -Romans 3:23
You cannot save yourself. "Not by works or
righteousness ye have done, but according to
his mercy he saved us." -Titus 3:5
Jesus has provided for your salvation.
"For God so loved the world that he gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believes
in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
-John 3:16
You must accept Jesus as your Savior.
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved."
-Acts 16:31
Now is the time to accept Jesus as your Savior.
"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day
of salvation." -II Corinthians 6:2
God Speaks to us through His word (Bible).
We speak to God through prayer. Something like this...
"Dear Lord Jesus, I realize that you are the Savior, and
that I need you to save me. Forgive me, for my sins.
I am no longer going to turn away from your love,
but I, right now, turn to you and receive your love.
I now invite you into my life as Savior and Lord to save
me from my sins. Thank you Lord for saving me. I ask
this in the name of Jesus, Amen."

The Church
Cornerstone Baptist Church has God’s Word, the Bible,
as it’s blueprint for everything we are, do, and say.
According to that blueprint, Christ is the Foundation
and Chief Cornerstone, therefore the work of the church
is to carry on the work that Christ began. On that solid
foundation we build our church, our ministry, and ourselves.
The first of those building blocks is that of Salvation.
Salvation is coming to Christ and accepting His payment
for sin, by His death on the Cross. It is only through
Salvation that we can have fellowship with the God the Father.
The second building block is Worship. Worship is seeing
God for who He really is and ascribing worth to Him.
We worship every time we focus our attention on Him
and are obedient to His plan for us.
The third building block is that of Evangelism, evangelism
is going and proclaiming of the good news of Christ to
the whole world. Cornerstone is determined to tell our
community that Christ loves them and offers forgiveness
of their sin. Cornerstone also knows that we need to reach
beyond our community and help to spread the good news
throughout the whole world.
The fourth building block is that of Stewardship. Recognizing
that everything we have comes from God, Stewardship is giving
of ourselves to fulfill His plan. This is accomplished through giving
of time to meet the needs of those around us, the giving of talent
to aid in worship and ministry, and the giving of tithes to provide
resources to accomplish our commission.
The fifth building block is Faith. Faith is believing that God will do
what He has promised. God’s Word as the blueprint for the church
and our lives, provides all that we need to live as a Christian in today’s
world. All of God’s commands are accompanied by a promise that
He will provide the means and strength to accomplish them.
The Sixth building block is Discipleship. Discipleship is growing
as a Christian. This comes as a direct result of becoming a
student of the Bible and a follower of Christ. It is the goal of
Cornerstone Baptist Church to see that every member is a
disciple of Christ.
Cornerstone Baptist church will be built on the foundation
of Jesus Christ and according to the blueprint of the Bible.
It is our responsibility and privilege to see people coming
to Christ, seeing God’s plan for their lives, going and telling
others, giving of themselves for the work of the ministry,
believing in faith that God will provide strength and means
to do his plan, and as a result of that, growing as individuals
and as a church.
